Genesis Chapter 47
Verses 1-10: Joseph presents his father, and five of his brethren before Pharaoh.
Verses 11-12: He gives them habitation and maintenance.
Verses 13-15: He gets the Egyptians’ money;
Verses 16-17: their cattle;
Verses 18-22: and their lands, except the priests’, to Pharaoh.
Verses 23-27: He restores the land for a fifth.
Verse 28: Jacob’s age.
Verses 29-31: He swears Joseph to bury him with his fathers.
Genesis Chapter 48
Verse 1: Joseph with his sons visits his sick father.
Verse 2: Jacob strengthens himself to bless them.
Verses 3-4: He repeats God’s promise.
Verses 5-6: He takes Ephraim and Manasseh as his own sons.
Verse 7: He tells Joseph of his mother’s grave.
Verses 8-16: He blesses Ephraim and Manasseh.
Verses 17-20: He prefers the younger before the elder.

Verses 1-2: Jacob calls his sons to bless them.
Verses 3-28: Their blessing in particular.
Verses 29-32: He charges them about his burial.

Verses 1-3: The mourning for Jacob.
Verses 4-6: Joseph gets leave of Pharaoh to go to bury him.
Verses 7-14: The funeral.
Verses 15-21: Joseph comforts his brethren, who crave his pardon.
Verse 22: His age.
Verse 23: He sees the third generation of his sons.
Verse 24: He prophesies unto his brethren of their return.
Verse 25: He takes an oath of them concerning his bones.
Verse 26: He dies, and is put into a coffin.
